What it Means to be Recognized as One of Canada’s Best Workplaces
“I am deeply proud of the work we do on behalf of consumers in Canada, and even after nearly 17 years at CCS, I am amazed to be surrounded by such remarkable team members. I am truly humbled by your commitment and integrity,” shared Scott Hannah, President & CEO of the Credit Counselling Society in his remarks to the team.
Scott goes on to say that, “Last year was a challenging year, filled with tremendous growth and opportunity, as well as the occasional set back. However, we worked through it as a team and together we found solutions that let us serve our clients with the utmost care, respect and attention.”
This is only the second time that the Credit Counselling Society has applied for this award. Scott notes that, “The mark of a truly great organization is being able to repeat the win – and we have.”
Credit Counselling Society Grows to Meet Consumer Demand
The Credit Counselling Society has been growing to keep up with an unprecedented demand for its services and programs. In the first 3 months of 2013 alone, they have maintained their workplace culture despite adding 17% more employees. In addition, they added new offices and expanded existing office locations across Canada to help people manage their money and debt better, by giving them the tools and resources they need to look forward to a better financial future.
At the heart of the organization and fundamental to its workplace culture are employees who care deeply and who are fully committed to helping consumers with their debt and money problems.
The “Best Workplaces in Canada” is published annually in the Globe and Mail and as a special feature on their website. It is based on surveys and research conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. Annually the Great Place to Work Institute surveys over 10 million employees around the world and publishes its findings to promote excellence in the workplace. Other well known organizations that were recognized in 2013 by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada include Google, Microsoft, McDonald’s, Starbucks and BMW.
