Anna Gordon, CCDP
Community Engagement & Education Specialist
Anna brings over two decades of experience in education, career development, and community engagement, with a strong track record of leading and designing meaningful learning experiences while building trusted relationships across sectors. Throughout her career, she has helped individuals and organizations navigate change, build confidence, and move forward with practical strategies that create lasting impact.
At the Credit Counselling Society, Anna supports engagement and education initiatives that help expand access to trusted financial wellness resources for Canadians. She is passionate about making complex topics approachable, creating positive learning experiences, and fostering connections that lead to tangible progress.
Anna is proud to contribute to work that improves lives and strengthens communities across Canada.

Shambhavi Arora, B.A.
Community Engagement and Education Specialist
Shambhavi is a Community Engagement and Education Specialist with the Credit Counselling Society, bringing experience in community outreach, educational program delivery, and relationship-based engagement. She supports initiatives that make financial education accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities. Her background includes supporting partner networks, facilitating workshops across community and public-facing settings, and contributing to interdisciplinary projects that prioritize collaboration, inclusion, and relationship-building. Shambhavi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Law and Society from the University of British Columbia, where she was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and received multiple academic awards. Partnership and Education Specialist
Tina is a Partnerships and Education Specialist with the Credit Counselling Society, who is dedicated to advancing financial literacy across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Tina has built strong community connections and a successful business with hundreds of loyal clients. This blossomed into a rewarding career in finance where she has been fortunate to be able to promote financial wellbeing, help people, and connect them with the tools they need to navigate the best way forward. Catherine Lopez, B.A.
Financial Education Specialist
Catherine is a Financial Educator – eLearning Specialist and is responsible for teaching online webinars and developing eLearning content. She has over 15 years of experience in customer service, training, and management. Catherine believes that education is essential when it comes to creating a sound financial plan and is passionate about expanding financial literacy online. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Diploma in Counselling and Human Development through Simon Fraser University. Manager, Community Engagement and Education
Amanda Martin is a Partnership & Education Specialist with the Credit Counselling Society (CCS), bringing over 15 years of experience in the non-profit and financial sector. A Certified Educator in Personal Finance (CEPF), she develops and delivers engaging financial education programs that empower individuals, businesses, associations, and communities to make informed financial decisions with confidence.
With a background in social services, lending, and collections, Amanda combines practical expertise with a relatable approach, making financial wellness accessible and actionable. She collaborates with workplaces, associations, and community groups, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to navigate financial challenges and build resilience.
