Credit Counselling Society Chosen for Consumer Choice Award in Regina, Saskatchewan
The Credit Counselling Society is pleased to announce that our clients in Saskatchewan have selected us as the 2013 Consumer Choice Award winners for Regina. Angela Wilkes, a Credit Counsellor in our Regina office, accepted the award on behalf of the Society at the awards celebration on April 25th.

“I felt honoured to be able to attend the awards ceremony,” explained Angela. “Knowing that our clients feel this way about us, that they value and trust the help and information we give them, is amazing. We work hard and do our best every day to help them, so I know that I can speak for everyone at CCS when I say that we are truly proud to accept this award.”
Personal Budgeting and Help with Debt
Our Regina office opened almost 2 years ago and since that time we’ve been able to help individuals and families with budgeting, options to deal with their debts and help to learn how to use credit wisely.
“One of the most rewarding parts of my work,” shares Angela, “is providing information and advice that really makes a difference in people’s lives. They really appreciate our support.”
Attending the awards ceremony gave Angela the opportunity to tell other winners about the work we do and some of the additional services we offer.
Workshops, Webinars and Presentations
Our Education team conducts countless presentations, both in person, over the phone and online, to help people from all walks of life learn to manage their money and debt better. “Getting the word out to employers, lenders, and other community organizations and businesses is so important, especially now that the government office for debt relief has been closed, ” states Angela. “When we work together to help someone struggling with their finances, we build healthy communities. Our counselling service is free, so there’s no reason for someone to struggle and worry or feel like they’re all alone.”
